Job Description:
This position, reporting to the VP of Biometrics presents a unique opportunity to establish and lead a team of statisticians to collaborate closely with the Medical Affairs organization to support evidence generation and publication strategy for all products.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the strategy for statistical support in medical affairs activities, collaborating closely with Biometrics senior management and key business stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and strategic inputs as the group lead and accountable for all statistical aspects of projects within the group
  • Ensure strategic alignment and consistency in statistical contributions within the assigned area.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships for external interactions with investigators, medical experts, payers, review boards, etc.
  • Manage and mentor a team of statisticians, defining team member priorities, conducting performance reviews and identifying development areas. Responsibility for resource planning and allocation.
  • Foster productive collaboration across Biometrics and cross-functionally, while effectively communicating with senior executives.
  • Act as the statistical representative in key cross-functional initiatives.
  • Lead key departmental initiatives to advancing our statistical capabilities and contribute to organizational growth
  • Provide statistical support on review and conduct of post-hoc analysis for publication development, Real-World Evidence (RWE) studies and HTA submissions.

Requirements:

  • A Ph.D. in Statistics or Biostatistics with more than 15 years of pharmaceutical experience
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of pharmaceutical environment, including experience with multi-phase development.
  • Profound expertise and in-depth understanding of advanced statistical concepts and techniques applicable to Clinical Research
  • Broad experience in phase 3b/4 study designs and expertise in epidemiological study designs and analysis to support observational, post-marketing and other RWE studies is highly desired
  • Experience with supporting analysis required for HTA submissions would be a plus.
  • Previous experience in managing multiple direct reports
  • Strong project management, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Outstanding ability to influence and to contribute to the advancement of innovative statistical methodology
